Gust Co. Ltd. (яп. 株式会社ガスト Kabushiki-gaisha Gasuto) — разработчик видеоигр и подразделение Koei Tecmo Holdings. Компания наиболее известна благодаря своей франшизе Atelier.
Компания
Компания Gust Co. Ltd. была основана в 1993 году в Нагано, Япония, как первый производитель игрового программного обеспечения в префектуре Нагано. Компания начала с создания игр додзинси для персональных компьютеров. Его первым проектом была Шаблон:Нихонго для персонального компьютера PC-9801. В 1994 году компания стала официальным разработчиком игровой консоли Sony PlayStation, и её первым продуктом для PlayStation стала игра-симулятор Шаблон:Нихонго.[1] В 1997 году Gust выпустила Atelier Marie, первую игру в продолжительной, популярной и культовой серии Atelier.[2] С тех пор компания выпустила несколько успешных игр для различных домашних и портативных игровых систем.
7 декабря 2011 года японское издательство Koei Tecmo приобрело компанию у её предыдущего владельца Keiken Holdings за 2,2 миллиарда иен в качестве полностью принадлежащей дочерней компании.[3]28 июля 2014 года было объявлено, что 1 октября 2014 года Gust будет поглощена своей материнской компанией Koei Tecmo и продолжит разработку существующих игровых серий и новых интеллектуальных объектов как «Gust Nagano Development Group».[4][5]
В 2015 году Gust выпустила новый сайт под названием «Gust Social» исключительно для своих социальных игр, начиная с Nights of Azure, Atelier Sophie и Ciel Nosurge в качестве первых рекламируемых, с целью улучшения коммуникации с отзывами фанатов.[6]Веб-сайт позволяет фанатам создать учётную запись Gust ID, которая позволяет им участвовать в опросах, покупать товары в интернет-магазине Gust и получать множество другого связанного контента.[7]Кроме того, Gust Social служит активным новостным сайтом для своих новых социальных игр.
Игры
Игры, разработанные Gust, известны своими системами алхимии и создания предметов, отличительным дизайном персонажей и традиционным или «олдскульным» графическим стилем и стилем повествования. В Японии Gust издавала свои собственные игры или сотрудничала с Banpresto. В Северной Америке эти игры издаются NIS America. После приобретения Koei Tecmo все игры публикуются ими.
